Iqfeed

1. Before start
In order to start working PT MultiStation with IQFeed deta vendor please make sure that you have done following:

Download and install latest version of IQ Feed client from official website of IQFeed (for latest testing IQFeed client 4.4.0.1 was used, but other versions should also work without problems).

Open IQFeed account here if you do not have any. For the first time you can ask to open demo account (possible to request it from here) for testing and learning trading platform.

Download and install latest version of PT MultiStation from official website of PFSoft, read manual if you did not made it before. Your version will be updated automatically after each launching.
 
 
 


Notes: You do not need to open account with PFSoft in order to work with IQFeed.

Login to IQFeed

 

2. Connection to IQFeed server.
In order to connect to IQFeed over PT MultiStation please do following:

Run PT MultiStation and select IQFeed from available connections. Enter your login and password, which you get from IQFeed for test or real account. Use "Save password" in order to store your account settings.

During connection you will see IQFeed API connection screen. WE recommend to check both checkbox (Save login and password and Automatically connect).

Notes: We do not reccomend to change standert connection ports. In case if you like to do this, you need to made corresponding changes in registry by key: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\DTN\IQFEED]

3. Working with IQFeed over PT MultiStation.
Most important IQFeed services are available in PT MultiStation.

Here is list of available functionality:

  • Level I Online quotes.
  • Level II Online quotes.
  • Options Online quotes.
  • Quotes history (history server available not all the time)
  • News

4. Specific features.
Working with IQFeed over PT MultiStation has a number of specific features:

Intraday history may has number of bars which is differ from requested number.

You can have bigger responce delay during history requests.

Options quotes requests takes more time. We are working on optimization of this function.
